Blake Shelton Spreading Holiday Cheer to the Troops with JCPenney’s Jingle Mingle

Blake Shelton is teaming up with JCPenney this holiday season for the Jingle Mingle, a virtual caroling campaign to spread a little holiday cheer to the troops through the USO. Fans can go toJCP.com/JingleMingle to upload videos of themselves singing "Silent Night" they can share with friends and families. The videos will be compiled to create an "online choir gallery," and JCPenney is donating $20 to the USO for every video submitted, up to $100,000.

Fans who submit videos can opt to have their videos be a part of Blake's virtual caroling event in New York City on Thursday, as well.

When asked why he wanted to be part of this campaign, Blake says, "You know, I think anybody in the position that I'm in needs to do their part to give back whenever they can. It's important to me."

He adds that he still lives in Oklahoma in order to stay connected to what he calls "the real world."

"It keeps me connected with people's everyday lives and their everyday struggles and there's always something that people in my position can do to help, and I think we should."

Before taking part in Thursday's virtual caroling event, Blake will appear on the two-part season finale of NBC's The Voice Monday and Tuesday nights.
