(LOS ANGELES) -- The Los Angeles Police Department and the family of Richard Dennis Young are asking the public for help in finding the missing 87-year-old man.

Young was last seen on March 4 at his home in the 2200 block of Roscoe Boulevard in Topanga. His family told police that he is beginning to show early signs of dementia and that they are extemely concerned for his welfare.

Young is described as a white male with gray hair and gray eyes. He is 5 feet 7 inches and weighs 115 pounds. He has a full gray beard and wears glasses.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Young is asked to call the LAPD Missing Persons Unit, Detective Saiza at (213) 996-1800.
