KHAY
invites all non-profit organizations to submit their Public Service
Announcements to our radio station.
Public
Service Announcements (PSA’s) are meant to stimulate action against
problems confronting our society and community.
We are committed to advertising and promoting issues such
as education; health; safety; environmental preservation; non-political
information and social issues which directly affect the Ventura
County community.
All
other events and announcements of activities MAY be selected
on the station’s websites or featured on the air under “Community
Events”.
All
Program Directors and their on-air staff ----select which PSA’s
are appropriate for their audience and which PSA’s will fit into
their windows of available time.
The
following is a list of requirements for PSA’s or Community Event
submissions:
---ALL submissions MUST be received four weeks in
advance of the scheduled event.
---the name and phone number of a contact person MUST be
included.
---use capital letters for PSA’s and Community Event Announcements.
---submit all information on ONE sheet of paper.
DO NOT forward your organization’s
newsletter, which includes the information of your event.
The
ONLY exception to the 30-day advance notice stipulation is
when your event will benefit a local individual or family.
For instance, your school, church or organization is holding
a fundraiser to support a family who has lost their home to fire.
In that case, you MUST call Cyndy personally.
Every effort is made to see that the morning air personalities
do what they can do to promote the event for the upcoming weekend.
