Garth Brooks Covers the Songs That Influenced Him Most on New Four-Disc Box Set

Christmas shopping just got a lot easier for friends and family members of Garth Brooks fans. Inspired by all of the cover songs he sings in his one-man show in Las Vegas, Garth is set to release a four-disc box set, Blame It All on My Roots: Five Decades of Hits, singing 40 of the songs that influenced him most.

One disc focuses on Garth's classic country influences, including his take on George Strait's "Unwound" and Keith Whitley's "Don't Close Your Eyes" as well as a duet with wife Trisha Yearwood on Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn's "After the Fire Is Gone." On another disc, Garth covers R&B classics like Gladys Knight's "Midnight Train to Georgia," Stevie Wonder's "Superstition" and the Motown gem "I Heard It Through the Grapevine." The classic rock disc finds Garth singing songs from Jackson BrowneJerry Lee Lewis and Bob Seger, and a fourth disc, title Melting Pot, features Garth singing both parts of Simon & Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson" among other folk and pop hits.

Garth's new box set is expected to hit stores in time for the holidays. Garth's live concert special from Wynn Las Vegas airs November 29 on CBS.
